Cooking: Doughnuts.

 



 Assalam-o-Alaikum, humble greetings to all readers from WS Diary. Today, I have a new and simple recipe. We are going to make "Doughnuts". Before the startup, I want to mention some words about "Doughnuts".
           A doughnut or donut is a type of leavened fried dough. It is liked among all ages, kids, old and young one`s. `Doughnut` is a traditional spelling, whilst `Donut` is the simplest version. Both terms are often used interchangeably in English Language.
         
Doughnuts in different shapes.

Doughnuts are usually deep fried form of flour dough. It can either be in ring shape or or in number of shapes without hole and often filled.   Let start our recipe......

   1.Ingredients:
Ingredients.
                 This one is a easy recipe and it will take a little time for preparation. Firstly, we need 2 cups of all purpose flour, half cup of suji(granular flour or semolina), 2 cup powdered sugar, 1 beaten egg, 1 tablespoon oil, half teaspoon baking powder and half teaspoon of salt. For kneading, we will require milk, according to the condensity. 

2.Preparation:
Dough at rest.
            In a bowl take flour, suji, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add beaten egg and mix it well. Add milk in little by little amount and knead a dense dough. In the end of kneading, add 1 spoon of oil and place the dough for 15 to 25 minutes. 
Cutting rings from the dough.

After it, make medium size loafs of dough and roll them approximately about 0.5 inch. Now cut a ring shapes from it. For this, take a normal sized ring  mold and a small mold. Cut out the rings and make the loaf of residue again. Place the rings in a flour sprinkled dish. You can also preserve it for More than 2 weeks.

3.Frying:          
 
Frying the doughnuts.

Preheat the oil at medium flame . Put the doughnut into the oil, when it start changing its color change its side. Cook it until it become golden brown.  Take out the doughnuts and put them on tissue paper, so extra oil will be vanished.

4.Presentation:

You can serve it as it is. Once fried, doughnuts may be glazed with sugar icing, spread with icing or chocolate on top or you can add the topping which one you like to.

 Doughnuts have divided into many varieties on the behalf of preparation and serving. Doughnuts are usually accompanied by coffee but you can also pair them with milk. It is easy to prepare for kids in lunch.

Cooking : Kashmiri Tea.

         Salaam to you all, I wish you all will be well. Today, I bring a cooking recipe to you all. This one is a easy herbal tea , may you will like it. In Pakistan it is commonly used at wedding ceremonies. Here I have a unique formula to make it. Traditional Kashmiri Tea. First, I want to set forth its initiative facts. It is also known as "Shirr  Chai" or "Pink tea". It is a traditional tea beverage, originated from the Kashmir Valleys. It is made with gunpowder tea(green leaves rolled into small balls), milk and baking soda. I have a new and simple recipe of Kashmiri Tea. I expect you all will like it.
